The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant was recently presented with the Golden Hammer Award by the Hartland Chamber of Commerce in recognition of exemplary property improvements, including the full renovation of the historic lakefront property on Nagawicka Lake.
Originally built as Hasslinger’s Pleasant View Hotel & Resort when it opened in 1902, , The Commodore – A Bartolotta Restaurant has been thoughtfully restored and reimagined by The Bartolotta Restaurants and Jay Franke Design. The renovation preserves the charm and character of the original property while introducing elevated design elements, modern amenities, elevated dining experiences, event spaces, and a members only club.. Guests can enjoy scenic lake views, a welcoming bar and multiple dining spaces, and a seasonal menu that highlights seasonal classic and contemporary cuisine with a focus on local ingredients and signature Bartolotta hospitality.
The Chamber believes that these improvements positively and directly affect commerce in Hartland and enhance the community as a whole. The intent of the Golden Hammer Award is to further encourage property owners and businesses to invest in improvements that ultimately make Hartland a better place to work and live.
