MEET HARTLAND CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD MEMBER OF THE MONTH, ELISE MILLER and discover her hidden talent!
Elise shared “I am the co-owner and operator of Lake Country Bed Barn in Downtown Hartland with my husband,Nick Miller. We have been in business since March 2014, shortly following the birth of our first daughter. We decided to open a mattress store which gave me the flexibility to be able to be the primary caretaker for our daughters. The business has evolved as a side gig into a thriving business that supports our family. Being a business owner has given me the opportunity to be heavily involved in the community we live and work in. I have been a Chamber Board member since the beginning of 2021. I love being on event committees and growing businesses in Hartland.
My hidden talent is gardening and preserving. We have a large garden at home and love tending it. We have gotten pretty good at canning as well.
When I am not “working” I love spending time with my family out in nature. We love hiking, exploring new places, paddling, gardening, and many more. I also enjoy cooking, eating, and a great cocktail. My girls joke with me that there isn’t a food I wouldn’t try!”
