At Lake Country Bed Barn, we pride ourselves on being a family-run mattress store. Since 2014, my husband, Nick, and I have been serving the Hartland community. What started as a small venture to help us care for our daughter quickly grew into a full-time operation as demand for quality mattresses increased after the birth of our second daughter.
I’ve been surrounded by entrepreneurship my whole life. Growing up, my parents ran a farm where we raised veal calves, and later, the barn was transformed into a mattress store. As a child, I often helped unload semis at our farm in Watertown—and one day, my daughters will carry on that legacy as they get stronger. Right now, they help by doing smaller tasks like picking up the trash and cleaning.
