GET TO KNOW YOUR CHAMBER PRESIDENT – LYNN MINTURN! WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE HER AT THE HELM OF THIS SHIP!

Lynn Minturn has been President of the Hartland Chamber of Commerce in Hartland Wisconsin since 2004 and is responsible for developing and guiding an active program at the Chamber aimed at providing business services for its membership, improving business-civic conditions and coordinating large-scale community events. Lynn and her husband Sam (affectionately known as the Chamber Cabana Boy for his many volunteer hours spent helping out at Chamber events) just celebrated 34 years of marriage. They have one son, Erikray, who is getting married in 2022 so are also gaining a daughter-in-law, Kenzie. On the home front, they continue to host a frog named Milo that refuses to croak (he was brought home as a school project over 20 years ago as a barely-able-to-see tadpole) and two cats – the diva known as Mia and the Oompa Lloompa called Leiney or Mr. Kugel.
FIVE THINGS SHE CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT:
CHAMBER VOLUNTEERS
These magnificent individuals spend hours and hours every year helping make great things happen in Hartland. As they say, “It takes a Village”.
BEING CONNECTED
I work alone much of the time but need to be in constant contact with dozens of individuals, businesses and committees every day. Though often maligned, email is the only efficient means to keep on top of an ever-moving calendar of events, seminars, meetings and chamber offerings.
CREATIVE OUTLET
I constantly dabble in DIY projects. When I look at something I like to take it apart visually and try to figure out how I can first, make it and then, make it my own. To bring that creative outlet into my work day, I am constantly finessing ideas and twisting them on their head to find a new way to do something old. The discovery of what might be possible is intriguing to me.
GUILTY PLEASURES
A lemon drop martini on the patio when the weather is warm or an old-fashioned in front of the fireplace when cool weather rolls in.
HAVING A PURPOSE
Whether it’s my job, being a good wife and mother, volunteering, crossing things off my bucket list or just finding joy in the day, I feel validated at the end of the week for a job well-done if I had a goal and a purpose.

HAVE YOU MET OUR AMBASSADOR DR. ANNA KOECK OF THEIA VISION CARE?

My name is Dr. Anna Koeck and I am the eye doctor and CEO of Theia Vision Care eyewear boutique Voted #1 Eye Doctor in Lake Country 2019 and 2021!
My husband Josh and I live in Hartland with our 6-year-old son Maks and Bailey the sheepdog. As a Hartland Chamber Ambassador and eye doctor, I am passionate about keeping our Lake Country community seeing clearly!
Unlike other eye places, at Theia Vision Care I set aside up to an hour of my time as the doctor to listen to you. We are a family business and our family is here for your family! As a mom I want the best for my son and as a doctor I know that kids need a first eye exam at 1 year old, in addition to the pediatric screening. No need to be able to read or even talk for me to be able to figure out the prescription.
In my free time I love to travel, CrossFit, spend time with my family, and read. I also LOVE fashion and share it on Instagram and Facebook with Fashion Fridays!
Some fun facts about me. I was born in Russia; I speak 3 languages and understand 6. I have a blackbelt in Tae Kwon Do. Being an eye doctor is my second act. My undergraduate degree was in business and I worked as a project manager for 3 years before following my love for medicine. I am also a beauty Queen and the reigning Mrs. Waukesha County!
I love to learn new things and meet new friends! We would love to see you schedule an eye exam or an eyeglasses fitting https://scheduleyourexam.com/v3/index.php/4922/
We provide eye care because we care,
~Dr. Anna Koeck and Theia Vision Care team

HAVE YOU MET OUR CHAMBER ASSISTANT – JACKIE PERRIGO?

Jackie has been the part time assistant at the Hartland Chamber for over 9 years. Jackie and her husband Will grew up in the Lake Country area and never left because they knew that this was the best place to raise their three children.

Jackie’s part-time work at the Chamber allows her to have the best of both worlds. She enjoys working with Chamber members and participating in Chamber & community events, but she also has time to enjoy all that the Lake Country has to offer…lake life, outdoor activities, wonderful restaurants and especially great people!

Jackie & Will love to travel (one of their “bucket list” adventures was when they traveled to Iceland with the Chamber) and their travels often take them to visit their four grandchildren in Colorado and Michigan. They welcomed a furry member to their family during the Pandemic – “Lucky” Dog – and he now joins them on their road trips.

Stop by the Chamber to say “hi” – Jackie would love to meet you!

SHOUT OUT TO OUR AMAZING BOARD MEMBER – ELISE MILLER OF LAKE COUNTRY BED BARN!

In Elise’s words…..
I am the co-owner and operator of Lake Country Bed Barn in Downtown Hartland with my husband, Nick. We have been in business since March 2014, shortly following the birth of our first daughter. We decided to open a mattress store with the help and guidance of my father to help me make some money and be able to be the primary caretaker for our daughters. The business has evolved as a side gig into a thriving business that supports our family. Being a business owner has given me the opportunity to be heavily involved in the community we live and work in. I have been a Chamber Board member since the beginning of 2021, taking over my husband’s position on the board. I love being on event committees and growing businesses in Hartland. I am also on the Downtown Business Improvement Board of Directors and marketing committee.
When I am not “working” I love spending time with my family out in nature. We love hiking, exploring new places, paddling, gardening, and many more. I also enjoy cooking, eating, and a great cocktail. My girls joke with me that there isn’t a food I wouldn’t try!

In 2013, they moved to Hartland to be closer to family. Sara works as the Sales Manager at the WAC Lake Country. They enjoy partaking in the Hartland area community events as a family.
